At Second Stories Consignment, we believe in complete transparency when it comes to the condition of our pre-loved luxury items. Refer to our Condition Guide below to help you sell and shop second hand with confidence.

1. Pristine (New/Unused)


  • Bags & Accessories: No signs of wear; may include original tags, packaging or protective covers.

  • Shoes: Unworn soles with no scuffs or creases; may come with original packaging.

  • Clothing: Unworn, with original tags attached. No signs of washing, wear or alterations.

 

2. Excellent


  • Bags & Accessories: New without tags/packaging, or showing minimal signs of use, such as light creases in material.

  • Shoes: Minor wear to soles or insoles with minimal creasing on uppers. Very close to new.

  • Clothing: Worn only a few times, showing no visible flaws or signs of significant wear.

 

3. Very Good


  • Bags & Accessories: Light signs of wear, such as minor scuffs on corners or faint tarnishing on hardware. Interior may have slight marks.

  • Shoes: Noticeable wear on soles, light scuffing or minor creases.

  • Clothing: Some signs of gentle wear, such as minor fading, light pilling or slight stretching.

 

4. Good


  • Bags & Accessories: Noticeable wear, such as scuffed corners, softening of leather or tarnished hardware. Interior may have marks or stains.

  • Shoes: Moderate wear on soles, visible scuffs or creases.

  • Clothing: Visible signs of wear, including fading, small marks or minor repairs.
